Danielle Williams on the history of AI

Philosopher of science Danielle Williams, a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Modeling Interdisciplinary Inquiry, with WashU's Interdisciplinary Project in the Humanities, has published piece on the history of AI with The Conversation entitled "We’ve been here before: AI promised humanlike machines – in 1958," which traces the history of efforts to create human-like machine intelligence back to 1958 and Frank Rosenblatt's analog computer known as the "Perceptron."
