Colacchia defends his dissertation "Emotions that Feel Bad are Bad"

The Philosophy Department is delighted to announce that Philosophy PhD Student Chris Colacchia has successfully denfended his dissertation, entitled Emotions that Feel Bad are Bad: An Investigation into the Purportedly Positive Parts of Negative Emotions.  It concerns the relationship between emotional experiences that feel bad ("negative emotions") and well-being.  Chris argues that these emotional experience make our lives go less well, and we should prefer to be without them.
