Research Interests

Elizabeth Schechter’s research focuses on the split-brain phenomenon, using it as a springboard for examining questions about the role of neural facts in psychological theorizing, the structure of consciousness, the nature of subjects of experience, and the intersection of folk and scientific psychology. Her past publications have concerned individuating mental tokens and dual or divided consciousness; she is currently thinking about agency and action in split-brain subjects.
